Tonality of Evil
This four channel audio installation explores the sounds of warfare abroad and domestically. This work was created in response to the United States bombing Syria on April 14, 2018 as a reaction to the use of chemical weapons in Douma. The installation features a news broadcast, phone recordings from the bombings, addresses from the U.N., and the speech given by President Donald Trump. In real time, the audio is frozen and manipulated in revolving intervals to explore even the briefest sounds in an examination of what makes war sound like war.
